"Louisa has involved us as parents in their music lessons from the beginning and I feel that we work collaboratively in setting and achieving shared goals[...]she is very good at setting ambitious yet reasonable goals for the children and is prepared for each class with a lesson plan and has a clear strategy for advancing them musically as they learned. Louisa skillfully teaches a variety of music from baroque to classical to contemporary while always ensuring her students are challenged and confident. Louisa clearly enjoys teaching young children and is very understanding and gentle, yet is also firm and disciplined when required. With her guidance, April and Daniel have performed competently and confidently at music recitals twice a year and at the Edmonton Kiwanis Music Festival this past spring where Daniel won a scholarship. April also just completed the Level 1 Royal Conservatory of Music practical exam. Louisa continues to inspire my children by her own performances at recitals and music competitions and is an excellent role model as a teacher, a musician and as a student."
